• Decorate your house and yard in the Juneteenth Theme. Make Juneteenth decorations with the children or go to the Juneteenth Mall to find many items to help you decorate in the Juneteenth Theme. 
• Plan a special meal with the family.  Leave time to discuss the importance of Juneteenth and how it affects our lives today.
  
• Discuss the history of Juneteenth and the people involved in making theis important day possible.
• Discuss how Juneteenth is just not for one day but it is a movement that evolves though out our life every day. Remembering Juneteenth will help you accomplish your goals.

Celebrating with your community promotes community friendships that last a lifetime.

• Form a Juneteenth Celebration committee and include local business members and community leaders.
• Introduce your Chamber of Commerce  and Civic Associations to Juneteenth to get the support of the business leaders. 
• Make Juneteenth decorations with the children or go to the Juneteenth Mall to find many items to help you decorate in the Juneteenth Theme. 
• Involve the schools and your church.  Bring Juneteenth flags and literature to distribute to the groups.
• Host Invite your elected and civic officials to speak and the school bands to perform at your clelbration.
